The Regional Grand Lodge of Eastern India was founded along with the foundation of the Grand Lodge of India and under the latter’s jurisdiction in 1961. The Regional Grand Lodge of Eastern India has under it’s jurisdiction, the Masonic Lodges in the states of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Region currently has 55 Lodges and just over 1700 Freemasons on it’s rolls.
